The NH Council on Systemic Inclusion’s Working Committees

NCDE is forming working committees (and their membership will be posted here shortly as we confirm them), with the key purposes of each noted here.

1.  Banking Leaders Committee: (a) promote existing and spur new BankOn accounts and financial literacy resources for unbanked and underbanked LMI families and learners of all ages: (b) strengthen and promote inclusive pathways into banking careers, and (c) advise educational system and community leaders and employers on how to foster collaborative partnerships for systemic inclusion in LMI communities.

2.  Economic Inclusion Leaders Committee: (a) strengthen existing and create new inclusive pathways into in-demand living wage employment and (b) mentor employers on creating collaborative partnerships with banking leaders to support these pathways.

3.  Educational Inclusion Leaders Committee:  (a) develop a statewide network of VISTA partnerships spurring sustained local systemic inclusion initiatives in the state’s LMI communities; (b) launch, sustain and advise NCDE’s new School Partnership Program, to engage graduate research assistants facilitating co-development of plans by P12 educators and employers to orient LMI P12 students to how core academic skills are essential and will lead to inclusive pathways into in-demand living wage jobs in NH; (c) participate with banking leaders in co-designing collaborative partnerships for systemic inclusion in LMI communities; and (d) develop and institutionalize inclusive pathways for LMI parents of color into teaching careers for short-term and long-term economic inclusion impact.

4.  Philanthropic Leaders Committee: (a) co-develop with interested nonprofit leaders (see 5-a below) an XML metadata-vocabulary and GIS map of key dimensions of need facing those living in intergenerational poverty and to promote awareness of resources available in each of these dimensions; and (b) participate with banking, educational system and economic inclusion leaders in developing collaborative partnerships to design and sustain local systemic inclusion partnerships in LMI communities.

5.   Nonprofit Leaders Committee for Systemic Inclusion Voice and Agency: (a) co-develop with interested philanthropic leaders (see 4-a above) an XML metadata-vocabulary and GIS map of key dimensions of need facing those living in intergenerational poverty and to promote awareness of resources available in each of these dimensions; and (b) advise on and monitor efficacy of strategies to fully integrate inclusive voice and agency into all local systemic inclusion initiatives in LMI communities.

6.  Digital Inclusion Leaders Committee:  (a) design and participate in virtual and, when feasible, in-person showcases of essential digital inclusion resources (broadband, devices, tech and librarian support, apps, and digital learning content); (b) oversee NCDE’s NH broadband investment planning initiative to finance affordable broadband access across underserved areas of the state; (c) develop a statewide program to refurbish and donate used  computers for LMI learners; and (d) develop a statewide network of VISTA programs in LMI communities (see here).
