VISTA
The VISTA initiative is intended to provide low- and moderate-income (LMI) youths with opportunities to become banked (gain access to extensive free checking and other banking services), develop their digital literacy and financial skills, learning about pathways to living wage jobs in STEM and other fields, and provide virtual assistance to other LMI youths and their families on:
* how to become banked
* how to access free and deeply discounted home access to broadband, devices and other essential digital equity resources
* strengthen e-learning experiences for students through support for parents and teachers.
NCDE’s VISTA initiative is being undertaken in partnership with the FDIC, Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund, BankOn Boston, Awato, EBSCO, Rosen Digital and the NH Afterschool Network.
The VISTA Manchester program is the first of its kind in the nation and is made possible through generous grant support from Bangor Savings Bank, in partnership with Manchester Proud, the Manchester School District, and the MC2 Charter School.
You can learn more about the VISTA program by accessing the homepage to the online course for VISTA youths here.
